Residents at the Naperville retirement community Monarch Landing recently formed an energy conservation committee to evaluate and reduce the community’s electricity and natural gas bills.

While Olympic athletes from around the world were competing for gold medals in Beijing this summer, Monarch Landing residents took an afternoon to pay tribute to the Olympians while demonstrating their own athletic and intellectual prowess.

Wine tasting at Monarch Landing

Join Monarch Landing residents and staff at the community’s first-ever wine tasting, Saturday, Oct. 18. The evening will feature six different wine tasting stations, where guests will sample a variety of white, red, and dessert wines.

It comes as no surprise to the people who live there, but for the third year in a row, Naperville was named one of the top ten places to live in the United States by Money Magazine.
