A few months ago, Sedgebrook reduced the cost of its monthly service package, which includes the cost of home maintance, utilities, amenities, and one meal every day. Now, Marketing Director Paul Spence says the community is offering additional limited-time promotions that will make it even easier for people to take advantage of the Erickson retirement lifestyle.

Two years ago, Herb  Grindel moved to an Erickson retirement community in Lincolnshire, which he jokingly calls “The SS Sedgebrook” because he says living there is “just like being on a cruise ship.”

It seems that everywhere you look these days the cost of living is going up. A gallon of gas costs more than $4, the rising cost of food is causing sticker shock at the grocery store check-out line, and natural gas prices mean hefty utility bills for homeowners each month.
